Aluminum 2024 is a high-strength aluminum alloy, often referred to as the "Aircraft Alloy" due to its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and fatigue resistance. As a premier stockholder in Dubai, Supreme Steel provides 2024 aluminum in various tempers, primarily T3, T4, and T351, as well as T6 for specific high-strength requirements.
While 2024 offers excellent fatigue resistance, it has lower corrosion resistance compared to other aluminum series. To mitigate this, it is often supplied in "Alclad" (cladded) form or requires specialized surface treatments. It is easily machined to a high finish and possesses excellent grain structure for structural integrity.
